Working with BPD
People who chose to be doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and nurses do so because they want to help people. People who chose to work in the mental health system do so because they feel an affinity for those who suffer with a mental illness, they want to help people. Everyone including the admin assistant and the bookkeeper, are moved to make things better for those who suffer. Too often those who work with people with BPD confront the discrimination and stigmatisation of people with lived experience and their families in their own workplaces.
Stigma and discrimination is a result of lack of knowledge and understanding on many levels. Our BPD Community looks to those who work with BPD to be leaders in their workplace, to shine the light of knowledge and understanding.
People who work in this challenging field need up to date, accurate information and education and training. BPD Community provides training for people working in the field. Contact us at eo@bpdcommunity.com.au .
